The Village Works Jamaica Plain

761-773 Centre Street is a steadfast foundation on a historical Jamaica Plain retail block, home to commercial and white-goods retail storefronts. Through an extensive interior and exterior renovation, the 15,000 SF building’s program is adapted to 21st  century patterns of work, commerce, and residence.

The building is now anchored by a vibrant co-working space, The Village Works, where patrons practice their professions, explore new ventures, and create in the company of others seeking similar energy. Within The Village Works, camaraderie is fostered by an easy flow among small and large private workspaces and shared work and break areas. A new covered, multipurpose courtyard interweaves experiences with the adjacent retail, coffee shop, and restaurant, so the whole stays tuned with the evolving needs of the surrounding contemporary community.
